Privacy Policy

LOOP (“we,” “our,” or “us”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you share with us when using the LOOP mobile application, keyboard extension, website, and related services.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how it may be shared, and the choices available to you.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use LOOP, we may collect the following categories of information:

Account Information

When you create an account, we may collect information such as:

Language and App Preferences

We may store preferences such as:

  • Target language
  • Preferred writing tone
  • AI feature preferences
  • Keyboard settings

Text Submitted for AI Processing

When you use features such as translation, rewriting, grammar correction, shortening, expanding, or reply generation, the text you choose to process may be transmitted securely to our servers and AI service providers in order to generate the requested result.

LOOP does not intentionally collect every keystroke you type.

Text is processed only when required to provide the feature you actively request, subject to the technical behavior and permissions of the iOS keyboard extension.

Usage Information

We may collect limited information regarding how the service is used, including:

  • AI feature usage
  • Request counts
  • Subscription entitlement information
  • App version
  • Device and operating system information
  • Error and diagnostic information

This information helps us maintain the service, enforce usage limits, improve performance, and troubleshoot problems.

2. How We Use Information

We may use collected information to:

  • Provide translation and AI writing features
  • Authenticate users
  • Maintain user accounts
  • Manage subscriptions and usage limits
  • Remember user preferences
  • Operate and improve the LOOP service

3. AI Processing

LOOP uses artificial intelligence services to provide features including:

  • Translation
  • Rewriting
  • Grammar and clarity improvement
  • Suggested replies
  • Text shortening
  • Text expansion
  • Tone adjustment

When you actively request one of these features, the relevant text may be securely transmitted to our backend systems and to third-party AI service providers solely for the purpose of generating the requested output.

We take reasonable steps to minimize the amount of information transmitted and to protect data during transmission.

Users should avoid submitting highly sensitive personal, financial, medical, confidential, or legally privileged information through AI-processing features unless they are comfortable with that information being processed by the relevant service providers.

4. Keyboard Privacy

LOOP is provided as a third-party keyboard extension for iOS.

Apple may require users to enable certain permissions, including Full Access, for some online features to function.

LOOP does not use the keyboard to intentionally record or monitor everything you type.

Network access is used when necessary to provide features that require communication with LOOP servers, such as AI translation and rewriting.

Certain applications or secure text fields may prevent third-party keyboards from operating or may limit the information available to the keyboard. These restrictions are controlled by iOS and the application being used.

5. Third-Party Service Providers

We may use third-party service providers to operate LOOP.

These may include providers for:

  • Artificial intelligence processing
  • Cloud hosting
  • Database infrastructure
  • User authentication
  • Subscription management
  • Crash reporting
  • Analytics
  • Customer support

These providers may process limited information on our behalf according to their own privacy policies and contractual obligations.

Examples may include services such as OpenAI, Supabase, RevenueCat, AWS, Sentry, Firebase, Apple, or similar providers.

The exact service providers used by LOOP may change over time.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Subscriptions purchased through the iOS application are generally processed by Apple through the App Store.

LOOP does not directly receive or store your complete payment-card information when payment is processed through Apple.

We may receive information necessary to determine whether a subscription is active, expired, renewed, canceled, or otherwise valid.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • Provide the service
  • Maintain your account
  • Fulfill legal obligations
  • Resolve disputes
  • Prevent fraud or abuse
  • Enforce agreements

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and applicable legal requirements.

Where technically and legally possible, information that is no longer required may be deleted or anonymized.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.

However, no internet-based service can guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:

  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of certain information
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Request a copy of certain information
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

You may also be able to delete your account through the application or by contacting us.

10. Children’s Privacy

LOOP is not intended for children under the minimum age required by applicable law to independently consent to the processing of personal information.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.

11. International Data Processing

Because LOOP may use service providers located in different countries, information may be processed outside the country in which you live.

Where required, we take reasonable steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are used for international transfers of personal information.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

If we make material changes, we may notify users through the application, website, or another appropriate method.

The updated policy will become effective on the date shown at the top of this page.
